The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to provide mental
health treatment outside of a hospital setting for older adults
with mental illness, emotional distress, or behavioral problems.
Patients attending the program suffer from depression, loss of independence,
grief, anxiety, and a variety of other emotional stressors. Patients
attend the program 1- 5 days per week depending on severity of illness.
Patients participate in group therapy sessions, individual therapy,
and/or family therapy. The treatment team consists of a Board Certified
Psychiatrist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Master
Social Worker. An Activity Coordinator is also on site to provide
recreational activities after treatment is completed. Transportation
to and from the program is provided and a hot nutritious meal is
served at lunch. Our goal here at Allegiance Health Management is
to teach patients life skills that help them achieve and maintain
functional independence within the community.
